São Francisco do Sul is an island, which historical center is leaned over the Babitonga Bay shore. Around other twenty islands share the shore with São Francisco do Sul. The characteristic of being a sheltered bay allows navigation during the whole year - and it is not a coincidence that the biggest fishing clubs are located there. São Francisco do Sul is a historic city with over 150 houses and monuments, which are protected by the government. There are also several beaches that receive lots of tourists during summer, among which we can point out the Enseada beach. Barra do Sul, Barra Velha and Piçarras are located to the south. They are all quiet villages where fishermen live, sharing the outdoors space with colored fishing boats.
