San Jose is Costa Rica’s capital and largest city. It is a bustling city nested inside a tropical paradise. It is located in the center of the country in a valley surrounded by untouched cloud forests. San Jose is conveniently located and acts as a hub to the rest of the country. The airport is located 20-30 minutes outside of downtown San Jose and almost every bus company that runs buses to the rest of the country has their main offices here. If traveling by bus you can get to any part of the country from San Jose and if traveling from one part of the country to another there is a very good chance that you will stop at some point in San Jose. Attending language schools is a very popular in San Jose. Here you can attend intensive language classes for up to five hours a day and you can also live with a host family. This is an excellent way to learn Spanish or to just brush up your language skills while you get to live in a bustling Latin American city.
