Prague, ancient capital of Charles IV's Bohemian Kingdom, has played a pivotal role in the development of Central Europe since the Middle Ages. On the other side is the Lesser Quarter (Mala Strana) with Prague Castle towering high on the hill above. Situated on the side of a hill, Prague Castle offers fine views over all of Prague. Prague Castle is the premier tourist attraction.
