Playa Flamingo is home to the Casa de Lenguas school in Costa Rica, in the west coast province of Guanacaste. Local activities include: water sports, a canopy tour, horse back riding, boat safaris, white water rafting, hikes in Palo Verde and Santa Rosa National Parks, a visit to Rincon de la Vieja Volcano, and observation of night turtle nestings.
