Anamur was founded by the HITITES in 1250 B:C. In Roman times the town was the main base. It become a famous centre for recreation, commerce and good accommodation. It was ruled by the Byzantines, at which time it was rebuild. After 1228 the town come under Ottoman Empire by Selim II. Anamur is a town which situated an the most southern of anatolia, on the mediterranean cost. It has typical mediterranean climate with sunny summer and mild winters. Swimming season is April - November. Avrage day time tenperaturein summer is 28 C.
