Twillingate is a small city in Canada. An ice arena, two public schools, a small hospital, art gallery, museums, craft shops, and several inns are located in the town. St. Peter's Anglican Church, constructed in the early 1800s, is a historic landmark, as it is one of the oldest wooden churches in Newfoundland. "Kitchen parties" are known in Newfoundland and throughout Atlantic Canada as a fun time for people to crowd around someone's kitchen to make music, sing, and dance. About 3,000 people live in this small town. Twillingate is known as one of Newfoundland's oldest seaports. Until about 30 years ago, when a causeway was built, the only way to get to Twillingate was by boat. Today, a trip to the main island is quick and easy.
