Laggan Locks at the northerly end of Loch Lochy is again a nice place to stop for a break and relax in the picnic area, where the Battle of the Shirts took place during the times of Clan warfare. Allegedly, the day of the battle was so hot the clansmen stopped fighting to take off their shirts before continuing! Laggan Locks are easily reached and well signposted from the A82, about 2km south of the canal bridge at the south end of Loch Oich.
