This is the northernmost population center on the European mainland. Mehamn has 900 inhabitants while neighboring Gamvik and Skjanes boast 270 and 230 inhabitants respectively. The economy here is centered around fishing and fish products. Not as isolated as it seems, Mehamn has daily flights to the rest of the country and the Coastal Express calls twice a day at the port.
