Jiujiang lies in the north of Jiangxi Province and stretches out along the southern bank of the Yangzi River. Because of its prime location, it is not only a hub of transportation but also an important industrial and commercial city in southern China. Jiujiang is rich in forest and aquatic resources.Here one can enjoy the special charm of a land coverd with green fields of paddy rice crisscrossed by numerous rivers and lakes which abound with fish and other aquatic products.All around them are heavily forested mountains.It also has many mineral deposits, including gold, copper, tungsten, limestone, silica, and molding sand.
