Active; focal plane 81 ft; white flash every 10 s. 68 ft square cylindrical reinforced concrete tower on the roof of square 1-story concrete keeper's quarters; solar-powered VRB-25 aerobeacon (1997). One of Alaska's two oldest light stations. Coast Guard has the station's history. NWS Juneau has four photos. Preservationists in Juneau are working to restore the light station; a 1999 grant through the State of Alaska helped provide visitor access.
