The Magical Island Mull is one of those rare and fortunate places which seem untouched by the passage of time. It is also a huge and immensely varied place. The island of Mull has the greatest biodiversity of any place of comparable size in Britain. There are 1,000 foot sea cliffs, powder white sand beaches and a huge mountain range with the highest mountain, Ben More, rising 3,000 feet from a very blue and crystal clear sea. The coastline alone covers 300 miles. Mull is indeed a wild and stunningly beautiful place but it also has attractive villages and settlements scattered amid its glens and along its hugely indented coastline. Tobermory is reckoned to be the prettiest village in all the Hebrides. Tourists can take forest walk or perhaps hire a cycle and ride along one of Mull1s hundreds of tracks and trails. Mull is an island that bewitches the visitor with its amazing geology and its Celtic and Viking past, but perhaps the most captivating thing of all is that the sea seems everywhere tourists look and every twist in the road presents yet another dazzlingly beautiful seascape. In the evening, the bars are jolly and fishing boats are bobbing in the bays.
