Kings Point is a village located in Nassau County, New York. As of the 2000 census, the village had a total population of 5,076. <br> Geography<br> Kings Point is located at 40°48'56" North, 73°44'16" West (40.815655, -73.737725)1. According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 10.3 km2 (4.0 mi2). 8.7 km2 (3.3 mi2) of it is land and 1.7 km2 (0.6 mi2) of it is water. The total area is 16.08% water. <br> Demographics<br> As of the census of 2000, there are 5,076 people, 1,401 households, and 1,203 families residing in the village. The population density is 586.8/km2 (1,519.0/mi2). There are 1,455 housing units at an average density of 168.2/km2 (435.4/mi2). The racial makeup of the village is 91.67% White, 0.87% African American, 0.08% Native American, 3.55% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.65% from other races, and 3.19% from two or more races. 1.95% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race. There are 1,401 households out of which 38.0% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 79.7% are married couples living together, 4.0% have a female householder with no husband present, and 14.1% are non-families. 11.9% of all households are made up of individuals and 7.4% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 3.14 and the average family size is 3.38. In the village the population is spread out with 24.1% under the age of 18, 17.8% from 18 to 24, 17.4% from 25 to 44, 26.1% from 45 to 64, and 14.6% who are 65 years of age or older.
