The busy fishing community of Rorvik lies at the centre of a group of 6000 islands, islets and skerries known as Vikna. Situated on on the Namdal coast of Nothern Trondelag on the north west coast of Norway to the north of Trondheim and south of Bronnoysund, this area is alive, teeming with birds and serveral species of fish. Vikna is the place for wildlife enthusiasts as well as deep-sea fishing, diving, canoeing or kayaking. Vikna was an important coastal centre during the Viking Age judging from the numerous burial mounds on its three principal islands: Indre Vikna, Mellom Vikna, and the Ytre Vikna.
