Flekkefjord was twinned with Burntisland in 1946. Flekkefjord is in the south west of Norway, West Agder Fylkeskommune and has 8,824 inhabitants. There are two airports: Stavanger Sola (79 miles) and Kristiansand Kjevik (87 miles). The main activities in Flekkefjord are mechanical industries, shipyards, salmon farms and tannery. Its main asset is its beautiful geographical position on the coast, which can be enjoyed by boat among the many pretty islands surrounding the area.
