Queen Maud Land is that part of Antarctica lying between the terminus of Stancomb-Wills Glacier, in 2000W, and Shinnan Glacier, in 4438E. This name, given for Queen Maud of Norway, represents an expansion from that of the original core area, between 3700 and 5000E, discovered by Capt. Hjalmar Riiser-Larsen in 1930.
