The Chanaral island is the biggest of the three islands of the Humboldt Penguin National Reserve. Located in the South limit of the Third Region of Chile (700 Km North of Santiago), it is declared untouchable resource by the National Forest Commission, CONAF, and the entrance its allowed with only for authorized scientific aims.
