The historic, waterfront town of La Conner is on the National Register of Historic Places. Today is known for antiques, unique shops, three museums (La Conner Quilt Museum - 1 of 10 in the U.S.; Museum of Northwest Art; and the Skagit County Historic Museum), renowned galleries, and fine restaurants. Migrating birds can be viewed in winter, colorful fields of blossoms in the spring, and summer & fall bring boating and outdoor recreation enthusiasts.
