Surprise is located in Maricopa County. All of the new subdivisions springing up are away from the hustle and bustle of town in a beautiful country setting. It is only a 6 mile drive to Luke Air Force Base and 30-35 minutes to the airport. Arrowhead Town Center, one of the largest shopping malls in the state, is a quick 8 mile drive to the east. Developers have been able to acquire land in Surprise for a much lower price than other areas of the Valley, so they are able to offer new homes for affordable prices that will allow families to own much more of a home here than in almost any other area. You'll think you are out in the country, yet only minutes to Luke AFB or the huge shopping complexes located just 8 miles east on Bell Road.
