The Flores Sea covers 93,000 square miles (240,000 square kilometres) of water in the South Pacific. It is a part of the Pacific Ocean and borders the Indian Ocean. The Flores sea has a border of the following seas: the Java Sea (from the west), Banda Sea (from the east), Savu Sea (from the southwest), the Makassar Strait (from the northwest), and the Indian Ocean (from the south).
