Redmond may be the second largest city in Deschutes County, but ask residents on the street and they'll tell you the city comes in first when it comes to friendliness. But the city offers more than just a friendly tip of the hat. Redmond is the geographic heart of Central Oregon, and continues to be among the fastest-growing cities in the state. Many residents now choose to live in Redmond and commute to work elsewhere because home prices are generally lower in Redmond than in Bend and Sisters. Besides, Redmond is within an hour's drive to most of Central Oregon's best know scenic and recreation attractions.
