The Town of Deer Lake is a transportation hub, serving the western area of the province by road and air. It is the gateway to Gros Morne National Park, a world heritage site, and a link to southern Labrador. Through Deer Lake Airport pass the vast majority of flights to mainland Canada and to Labrador. With its many business outlets and service industries the Town is proud to serve the surrounding area. We are most appreciative of those who contribute to our economy and are glad to be of service. Deer Lake is home to an ice arena, two tennis courts, two softball fields, three playgrounds, two soccer fields, a golf course, an events field and much more. A new swimming pool and bowling alley. The town has a walking trail, and a Municipal RV and Day Use Park with a beautiful sandy beach. We are surrounded by a countryside that is an outdoor enthusiasts dream. The angling, hunting, boating, site seeing, hiking, skiing, riding snowmobiles, and other opportunities are second to none.
